Provider Education
Provide notice of public health educational opportunities to area physicians’ offices, laboratories, hospitals and veterinarians’ offices. Forward Health Alerts to providers mentioned above to ensure their awareness of public health advisories and notifications (i.e., disease outbreaks, food recalls, vaccine shortages, etc.) which have the potential to present at their facilities.
Health department nurses and/or sanitarians visit providers annually to provide updates on reportable diseases and protocols for reporting same.
